Advanced Indicators & Manufacturing, Inc. (AIM) was established in 1987 to manufacture choke valve indicators and turn-key machined part components and products for  their first customers, GE Vetco Gray, Cameron, and FMC. In 1991, the API 6A license was applied for and received  to manufacture the AIM line of chokes, gate valves, wellhead components. These were humble beginnings when  all machining was done on manual lathes and mills. The first of now 13 CNC machines was purchased in 1993.  In 1995, Advanced Flow Products, Inc. (AFP) received the API 6A-0455 stamp to fully assemble wellhead Christmas tree equipment. One year  later, this business expansion necessitated larger operating capacity and the Company moved into its current  facility, prominently located on the newly expanded Brittmore Road in the Northwest industrial sector which is  bounded by Interstate 10 West on the south and the Northwest Freeway (Hwy 290), including Beltway 8 on East side.

AIM is a separate, complementary  company, co-located with AFP. AIM produces more than 800 varieties of different indicators, each one representing different choke models for OEM Customers such as Cameron, GE  Vetco, GE Hydril, Shaffer, T3 Energy/NOV, Cortec, HOE, FMC, plus generic indicators  for H2, FMC, and OCT style choke valves. AIM is considered a market leader with very  few competitors in the niche choke indicator design and manufacturing.
